  • Played point guard at Oklahoma State for four seasons, two each under head coaches Leonard Hamilton and Eddie Sutton
    • Drafted in the 2nd round (33rd overall) of the 1992 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls; played one season with the team and part of the 1993 NBA championship team
    • Briefly worked as a student assistant at Oklahoma State under Sutton in 1994
    • Played professionally for the next two years in the States (NBA and CBA) and then finished his playing career in Taiwan, playing three seasons with the Dacin Tigers
  • Started coaching in 2000 as an assistant at Oral Roberts under Eddie‘s son, Scott Sutton, a job he would have for seven seasons
  • Reunited with Hamilton in 2007, working on the Florida State head coach’s staff as an assistant for six seasons
  • Hired in June 2013 to be the new head coach of the Stetson Hatters
  • In April 2019, Williams joined new head coach Eric Musselman‘s staff at Arkansas as an assistant
  • Joined new head coach Mark Adams‘ staff at Texas Tech as an assistant coach in April 2021
