- Born October 5, 1966
- Hometown: Carlisle, Pennsylvania
- Alma Mater: University of North Carolina (BA, 1989)
- Played at Carlisle High School (PA) for his father, Dave Lebo
- Spent four seasons at North Carolina under legendary head coach Dean Smith and then part of one season in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs
- Started coaching in 1990 as an assistant under Alan LeForce at East Tennessee State
- Worked as an assistant under Eddie Fogler for six seasons at Vanderbilt and South Carolina before getting his first head coaching gig in 1998
- After six years of success at the mid-major level, coaching at Tennessee Tech and Chattanooga, Lebo was hired as the head coach at Auburn
- Went 96-93 in six seasons at Auburn, going to just one NIT during that time
- Spent seven-plus seasons as the head coach at East Carolina, the first four in Conference USA and the remainder in The American (AAC)
- Won the 2013 CIT title, the first Div I postseason tournament championship in school history
- Stepped down in November 2017, just six games into his eighth season withe the program
- In October 2020, Lebo joined the staff of West Carteret HS in Morehead City, NC (where he lives) as an assistant coach
- Joined the coaching staff at his alma mater North Carolina in 2021, becoming an assistant under new head coach Hubert Davis
- Along with his wife Melissa, has two daughters and a son
