- Hometown: Los Angeles, California
- Alma Mater: University of Texas (BA, 1999)
- Graduated from Beverly Hills HS (CA) and started his college career with coach Pat Fuscaldo at D-II Sonoma State (CA)
- Transferred to Texas where he was a member of Rick Barnes‘ first team; won the 1999 Big 12 title
- Began his coaching career first as a graduate assistant then as video coordinator under Barnes at UT
- In between those two stints, he spent one year as video coordinator under Wayne Morgan at LBSU
- First assistant job was one year at UTSA under Tim Carter; then spent six years on Frank Haith‘s staff at Miami (FL) before returning to Southern California to work under Rodney Terry at Fresno State
- Reconnected with Haith for one season at Tulsa before joining Barnes at Tennessee in 2016
- Spent three seasons as an assistant and three as associate head coach, during which time the Vols went to four NCAA Tournaments and won a SEC title (in 2018)
- Hired in March 2022 to be the new head coach at East Carolina in the AAC
