- Alma Mater: University of South Dakota (BA, 1986) / Azusa Pacific University (M.Ed, 2003)
- Started coaching career after graduating from USD in 1986, spending three years as an assistant at Southwestern CC (CA)
- Spent three years as an assistant at San Diego under Hank Egan and then two seasons working for Eric Musselman with the CBA’s Rapid City Thrillers
- Returned to California in 1994, assisting Pat Douglass for three seasons at CSU Bakersfield and eight more at UC Irvine
- Lee’s Bakersfield tenure included a NCAA Division II national title in 1997
- Was the head coach at Division II Kentucky Wesleyan for eight seasons, going 154-81 and appearing in six D-II Tournaments
- Returned to the D-I level in 2013, serving as Dan Majerle‘s associate head coach at Grand Canyon for five years
- Hired in April 2018 as the head coach at his alma mater, South Dakota
- Lee’s Coyotes went 13-10 (11-4) in his third season, earning him 2021 Summit League COY honors
- Fired in March 2022 after four seasons; went 66-52 overall and 19-12 in his fourth and final year
- In June 2022, Lee joined Eric Musselman‘s staff at Arkansas as Director of Scouting; became an assistant coach in 2023
- Followed Musselman to USC in 2024, becoming an assistant coach for the Trojans as they headed into the Big Ten
