List of Sporting News Coach of the Year winners
Beginning in 1964, Sporting News Magazine has awarded the Sporting News Men’s College Basketball Coach of the Year Award (or simply Sporting News Coach of the Year Award) to the top Division I men’s college basketball coach of the season. The coach to win the award the most times is UCLA legend John Wooden (four), followed by Bill Self (three) and four others with two each.
