  • The BU-grad started his coaching career in 1987 at D-III Worcester State (MA) as an assistant
  • Spent one year as an assistant at D-II Assumption (MA) before returning to WSU as head coach
    • Went 76-59 in five years at the helm, finishing above .500 in three of those seasons
  • Joined Jim Calhoun‘s staff as an assistant at UConn in 1994, staying with the program for 13 years
    • Was a part of nine NCAA Tournaments, including two NCAA titles, during his first stint at UConn
  • Hired in 2007 to be the head coach at Quinnipiac, leading the Bobcats for ten seasons
    • Had a 162-150 record during his tenure, reaching the postseason four times (1 NIT, 1 CBI, 2 CIT)
    • Fired in March 2017 after two straight 21-loss seasons
  • Was an assistant on Dan Hurley‘s staff at Rhode Island during the 2017-18 season
    • Followed Hurley to UConn the following season, his second stint with the Huskies
  • Along with his wife, Eileen, has three daughters
