- Hometown: Alcester, South Dakota
- Alma Mater: Morningside College (BA, 2009)
- The SD-native played at NAIA Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa, then got his coaching career started there as a volunteer assistant in 2009
- That was followed by stints as an assistant at Central Wyoming College, Riverland CC (MN) and D-II Sioux Falls (SD)
- Got his first head coaching opportunity in 2012, spending the next four years at the helm at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois
- Went 113-28 overall and won the NCJAA Division III National Championship in both 2014 and 2016
- Was hired in 2016 to be the head coach at NAIA Graceland (IA), where he went 48-22 in two seasons
- After going 20-12 in year one, he led the Yellowjackets to 29 wins and a NAIA National Championship victory in 2018
- Moved on to D-II Emporia State (KS) in 2018, spending the next six seasons as the head coach there
- Went 97-76 there, winning 20+ games on two occasions and going to the D-II NCAA Tournament once (2023)
- Hired in March 2024 to be the new head coach at D-I Houston Christian in the Southland
