- Alma Mater: Thiel College (BA, 1986) / California University of Pennsylvania (MA, 1988)
- After getting a masters degree and serving two years as a graduate assistant at D-II California (PA), Pilipovich started his coaching career in 1988 as an assistant under Lonnie Williams at FAU
- Stayed on staff when Tim Loomis took over a year later and was promoted to associate head coach in 1991
- Pilipovich was at FAU for the first six years of the program’s existence while competing in D-II
- Spent time as an assistant coach under Carter Wilson, Jim Boone, Tommy Amaker and Jeff Reynolds
- Pilipovich became the interim head coach at Air Force in February 2012 after Reynolds was let go; officially hired in the off-season to stay on as the Falcons head coach
- Went 110-151 in eight-plus seasons as the Falcons’ head coach
- Signed a three-year extension in April 2019, but was fired as head coach in March 2020
- In October 2020, Pilipovich joined the coaching staff at New Mexico in the role of special assistant to head coach Paul Weir
- Spent one year as an assistant with the Austin Spurs of the NBA G-League before returning to his old position at UNM, working under Lobos’ head coach Richard Pitino
- Along with his wife, Kelly, has one son and one daughter
