- Donald M. Sicko
- Born July 28, 1946
- Alma Mater: Wayne State University (BA, 1970)
- Started out as the head boys’ basketball coach at Archdiocese of Detroit Schools (1968-73) and Shrine HS (MI) (1973-79)
- Was briefly an assistant at Detroit Mercy in 1979, but quit after just four months in the program
- Instead, Sicko spent the 1979-80 season at Kent State as an assistant under Ed Douma
- Then worked for two seasons as an assistant for Bill Frieder and the Michigan Wolverines
- Hired in 1982 to be the head coach at Detroit Mercy, leading the Titans the next five years
- Only finished above-.500 once (16-12 in 1984-85) but the following year went 14-15 and was the MCC Co-COY
- Parted ways with UDM after a 0-3 start to the 1987-88 season; went 57-88 overall at the helm
- Left coaching and worked in the private sector, both in and outside the basketball world
- Had stints calling Michigan basketball games on the radio, working as a basketball writer and a college scout, as well as time spent working sales (including some time at Reebok)
- Returned to coaching for four years (2001-05), serving as head coach at Notre Dame HS in Pontiac, Michigan
