- Born November 11, 1987
- Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland
- Alma Mater: Xavier University of Louisiana (BS, 2010 & M.Ed, 2014)
- Graduated from Woodland HS (MD) and started his collegiate career at D-II Livingstone College (NC)
- Finished his career at Xavier (LA), where he earned his bachelor’s and later a master’s
- Started his coaching career at his alma mater, spending two years each as a graduate assistant and full-time assistant under Dannton Jackson
- First arrived at Prairie View A&M in 2014 to be an assistant with the Panthers’ women’s program
- A year later, he joined Byron Rimm II‘s staff with the men’s program as an assistant coach
- Coached under Rimm for one year and then spent an additional four years under Byron Smith
- Was part of two SWAC titles with the Panthers, including a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2019
- Hired in April 2020 to be the head coach at Alcorn State, also in the SWAC
- After going 6-13 in his first year, led the Braves to a 14-4 record and outright SWAC title in year two, earning an automatic bid to the NIT
- Bussie was named 2022 SWAC COY and later in October 2022 was given a contract extension through 2025-26
- Won a share of another SWAC regular season title in 2023 and was named SWAC Co-COY
