- Alma Mater: Eastern Kentucky University (BS, 1995)
- Spent ten seasons coaching at the junior college ranks as an assistant coach from 1993 to 2003
- Was on John Pelphrey‘s staff at South Alabama for three seasons and followed him to Arkansas in 2007 as the Director of Basketball Operations; he was only at Arkansas for about three months
- Joined Frank Martin at Kansas State in 2007, working there for five seasons before following Martin to South Carolina in 2012
- Promoted to associate head coach in 2013; was on staff for the Gamecocks first ever Final Four appearance in 2017
- Hired in April 2017 as the new head coach at Austin Peay
- Led the Governors to a 3rd place finish in the OVC his first season, earning conference COY honors and a 2018 CIT berth
- In March 2021, Figger accepted the head coach position at UTRGV out of the WAC
