Glenn Braica
Born September 16, 1964
Hometown: Brooklyn, New York
Alma Mater: Queens College (BA, 1989)
Attended St. Agnes HS and Bishop Ford HS in Brooklyn before playing four years at Queens College (NY)
Started his coaching career as an assistant under Bob Debonis at New York Tech for one season while finishing his undergrad
Began his first stint at St. Francis Brooklyn – then St. Francis (NY) – in 1989, spending fifteen seasons as an assistant coach there under head coaches Rich Zvosec and Ron Ganulin
- Ganulin would later return to the school in 2013 to be one of Braica’s assistant coaches
Spent six seasons as an assistant at St. John’s, working under head coach Norm Roberts (his teammate at Queens College)
Returned to St. Francis in 2010 to become the Terriers head coach
- Won the NEC regular season title in 2015, earning his second NEC COY award that season (first was in 2012)
- Went 178-216 overall in thirteen seasons at the helm
- In March 2023, SFCNY announced that it would be eliminating its athletic programs at the end of the Spring 2023 semester and that all staff contracts (including Braica’s) would be ending at that time
In October 2023, Braica joined Chris Casey‘s staff at Fairfield as an assistant
