  • Born December 13, 1965
  • Hometown: Springfield, Ohio
  • Alma Mater: University of Charleston (BS, 1988) / Ohio University (MS, 2001)
  • Graduated from Springfield South HS (OH) and then played for head coach Todd Landrum at Charleston (WV), where he was a two-time captain and was later inducted into the Charleston Athletics HOF (class of 2003)
  • Started out his coaching career at Youngstown State, spending four years as an assistant under John Stroia
  • Followed that with a three-year stint on Larry Hunter‘s staff at Ohio, including one year as associate head coach
  • Returned to his alma mater in 1996 to be the head coach; led the Golden Eagles for seven seasons and went 159-55 overall
    • Won two WVIAC titles and reached the D-II NCAA Tournament in four-straight seasons (1999-2002)
  • Moved back up the D-I ranks in 2003, becoming an assistant under Anthony Solomon at St. Bonaventure; elevated to associate head coach in 2004
  • Spent seven years as Gary Waters‘ associate head coach at Cleveland State, a tenure that included three NITs and one NCAA Tournament (2009)
  • Hired in 2013 to be the head coach at Longwood, a position he held for five seasons
    • Was unable to find success with the program, finishing with an overall record of 42-120; was fired in March 2018 following a 7-26 campaign
  • Spent one year working at Winthrop under Pat Kelsey  and then two at Cincinnati under John Brannen, with whom he worked at St. Bonaventure
  • Joined the staff of new Western Carolina head coach Justin Gray in 2021 as his associate head coach
