Nathan Davis fired after eight seasons at Bucknell

After eight seasons as Bucknell head coach, Nathan Davis has been let go. The school made the announcement on Thursday evening, two days after the Bison were eliminated from the Patriot League Tournament.

“I want to thank Nathan for his contributions to the Bucknell men’s basketball program over the last eight seasons,” AD Jermaine Truax said in a statement. “I am grateful for the positive mentorship that Nathan provided to our student-athletes, however, the last four seasons have not met the high standards of on-court success we expect from our men’s basketball team.”

Davis won four-straight Patriot League titles to start his tenure at Bucknell, going to the NCAA Tournament twice, but in the four seasons since the team has increasingly struggled. This year’s squad finished 12-20 overall and were in last place with a 5-13 conference record.
