  • Hometown: Pensacola, Florida
  • Alma Mater: California State University, Los Angeles (BA, 1999) / American InterContinental University (M.Ed, 2005)
  • Played at Ventura College (CA) then transferred to play for one year at Cal State Los Angeles
  • Started his coaching career at Pasadena CC (CA), working as an assistant while he finished his degree
  • After two years there and one at Chaffey CC (CA), became an assistant at Cal State San Bernardino
  • Spent one season as head women’s coach at Texas College, going 20-12 overall
  • Was the head men’s coach at Jarvis Christian, a HBCU in Hawkins, Texas, for three seasons
    • Went 47-39 during his tenure at JCC, twice finishing above .500
  • Moved up to the D-I ranks in 2005, spending one season as Darrell Hawkins’ assistant at Prairie View A&M in Texas
    • Became head coach of the Panthers year later, leading the program for 10 seasons
    • Compiled a 115-192 record overall, finishing above .500 in just two of those seasons
    • Resigned in January 2016 after starting the season 1-18 (1-6 SWAC)
  • Spent 2016-17 as Willis Wilson‘s DBO at Texas A&M-CC, during which the Islanders were CIT Runner-up
  • Headed back west to be an assistant under Dennis Cutts at UC Riverside
    • Cutts was fired mid-season but Rimm II stayed with the program under interim HC Justin Bell
  • Hired in 2018 by Jason Gardner to be associate head coach at IUPUI in the Horizon League
    • Elevated to interim head coach in late August 2019 following Gardner’s resignation
    • In June 2020, the school announced that Rimm would return to coach the Jaguars again in 2020-21
    • Went 15-35 in two seasons at the helm and was not retained during the 2021 offseason
  • In July 2021, he joined Ron Cottrell‘s staff at Houston Christian (then known as Houston Baptist) as an assistant coach
