  • Spent nine years as an assistant at various levels, including two years at Northwestern State under coach J. D. Barnett, four years under Happy Osborne at NAIA Georgetown (KY), and three under Rick McCormick at D-II Union (TN)
  • Was the head coach at Frank Phillips College in Borger, TX for two seasons before arriving at Tennessee Tech in 2002
  • Worked as an assistant to former Golden Eagles’ head coach Mike Sutton for nine years before taking over the program in 2011
    • Led the Eagles to the postseason twice so far, the 2012 CIT and the 2016 Vegas 16
    • Resigned in March 2019 at the conclusion of a 8-23 (4-14) season, his eighth at TTU; went 118-134 overall
  • Hired in June 2019 at Kansas City (formerly UMKC) and spent three years as an assistant on Billy Donlon‘s staff
  • Joined new head coach Daniyal Robinson‘s staff at Cleveland State in June 2022 as a special assistant coach
  • Along with his wife, Kelli, has two sons and one daughter
